Hello!

We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with you on November 22, 2014 in Chapel Hill, NC. In the mean time, take some time to explore our site to get all the details for the big day.

Our Story

The Bride

According to Nathan

Annie is one of a kind - I can safely say there is no one else like her!  She’s half Southern Belle and half Vietnamese.  She is full of energy and very active.  She can run really, really, really far.  In the last few years, she has participated in 10 mile, 13.1 mile, and 15.5 mile races!  She is also very artistic.  She can do calligraphy, draw, and sing (although she is sometimes uncharacteristically shy in front of a microphone).  Annie is super health conscious.  She eats a lot of spinach, which I can do.  ...But she also likes green bean casserole, and that may be her greatest character flaw.

The Groom

According to Annie

Nathan is one of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever come across. He always finds the positive things about everything around him and never says a bad thing about anyone. He has an uncanny memory and he can be pretty funny sometimes, too. He loves writing, recording, and producing music, which is an art that I really admire. We are both very close to our families and friends and love to be around happy people! Oh, and he really despises casseroles for some reason… so odd!

Our Timeline

It all began in 2008

Nathan and Annie met in the dental school clinic. Nathan quickly called out for the “very pretty” girl to come help him, and Annie was instantly into his dreamy long hair, huge white smile and checkerboard Vans!

In 2009, a year after they met, Nathan left a post-it note in her mailbox at school.

That February, they went on their first date at Oishii...but Annie was so nervous she brought along her roomate Quiara! Thankfully the date went well.

After graduation they balanced a long-distance relationship when Nathan worked in Greenville and Annie finished school and started working in Raleigh.

They took a lot of trips together to visit friends. From 2009 to 2011, they visited NYC, Detroit, and Seattle!

In 2011 Nathan moved again...but still not in the same city as Annie! He began working with friends in Winston-Salem, NC while Annie moved to Durham, NC.

In June 2011 they finally got to work together again – on an amazing mission trip to Belize.

They may have been apart during the week, but they bonded over a love of traveling. In 2012 and 2013 they went to DC, NYC, Asheville, Iceland, and Croatia!

On their 5th anniversary Nathan took Annie on a scavenger hunt around Chapel Hill. At each stop he gave her a sweet card, and after giving her the final card - he proposed!

And the rest is history! They can’t wait to make more memories together on their wedding this November.
